After 27 years of outstanding service, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker will retire from his current role as Group Chief Executive with effect from November 5, 2023. Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer will succeed Al Baker as Group Chief Executive for Qatar Airways.
