Significant reductions in our activities and the infrastructure we rely on will be necessary to meet our aims. To reach our goals, we are engaged in a variety of projects. We also understand that our customers want to be given the chance to make decisions about their vacation. We firmly think that in order to achieve sustainability, the entire ecosystem must work together and take joint action. In order to encourage our visitors to take climate action while traveling, we sought to develop a new platform. We anticipate that this program will give us more chances to interact with our visitors about our sustainability efforts. “We are honored to work with Pegasus Airlines and support their customers’ efforts to combat climate change. People are wanting to understand their emissions and support climate solutions in greater and greater numbers. The CHOOOSE CEO, Andreas Slettvoll, expressed his excitement about making climate action more accessible to tourists in Turkey and beyond. Exploring the Vibrant Diversity of South Africa: A Traveler’s Guide

Introduction Welcome to the vibrant and enchanting world of South Africa! A land filled with rich history, diverse cultures, breathtaking landscapes, and an abundance of wildlife. Whether you’re an adventure seeker yearning for adrenaline-pumping experiences or a culture enthusiast eager to immerse yourself in new traditions, South Africa has something for everyone. Get ready to embark on a journey that will captivate your senses and leave you with memories that will last a lifetime. So pack your bags, grab your camera, and get ready to explore the wonders of South Africa! History and Culture South Africa is a country with a rich and diverse history, shaped by centuries of colonization, apartheid, and the fight for freedom. The history of South Africa is complex and often painful, but it has also given rise to a vibrant culture that celebrates resilience and diversity. From ancient times to the present day, South Africa has been home to various indigenous tribes who have left their mark on the country’s cultural landscape. These include the Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho, Ndebele, and many others. Each tribe has its own unique traditions, languages, and customs that contribute to the tapestry of South African culture. The arrival of European settlers in the 17th century brought further layers of complexity to South African society. Dutch colonizers established Cape Colony in what is now Cape Town before being followed by British rule. This colonial history has influenced everything from language (with English and Afrikaans being widely spoken) to architecture (with Cape Dutch style buildings dotting the landscape). In more recent years, South Africa’s struggle against apartheid has become synonymous with its identity as a nation. Nelson Mandela’s release from prison in 1990 marked a turning point in this long battle for equality. Today, visitors can learn about this important chapter in history by visiting places like Robben Island or exploring Johannesburg’s Apartheid Museum. South African culture is expressed through music too – most notably through genres like jazz or township music which emerged during apartheid as a form of resistance – art exhibitions showcasing contemporary artists who address social issues are held all over major cities such as Durban or Cape Town. Culture isn’t static though! It continues evolving alongside society itself; new voices emerge every day shaping what it means ‘to be’ South African today. Exploring the vibrant history and culture of South Africa offers travelers an opportunity not only to understand the past but also engage with its dynamic present-day reality. The People of South Africa South Africa is a melting pot of diverse cultures and ethnicities, making it a fascinating destination for travelers seeking to explore the vibrant tapestry of humanity. From the Zulu people in KwaZulu-Natal to the Xhosa people in the Eastern Cape, each group brings its own unique traditions, languages, and customs. One cannot talk about South Africa without mentioning Nelson Mandela, who played a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s history. His fight against apartheid resonates with all South Africans and serves as a reminder of their resilience and determination. Beyond its iconic figures, South Africa’s population is composed of various ethnic groups including Afrikaans-speaking whites, Indians brought over during British colonization, as well as immigrants from neighboring countries such as Zimbabwe and Mozambique. This diversity contributes to an incredible fusion of culinary delights – from bobotie (a spiced meat dish) to bunny chow (a curry-filled bread roll). Despite historical inequalities that still persist today, South Africans are known for their warm hospitality and strong sense of community. Whether you’re exploring bustling townships or chatting with locals at a vibrant market, you’ll be greeted with smiles and open arms. It’s important to note that while English is widely spoken throughout the country due to its colonial past, there are also 11 official languages recognized by the government. This linguistic diversity reflects the rich cultural heritage present within every corner of this beautiful nation. South African music has gained international recognition through artists like Miriam Makeba and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. The rhythmic beats reflect not only traditional sounds but also influences from jazz, reggae, hip-hop,and other genres. Engaging with local communities offers visitors an opportunity to learn about age-old traditions such as beadwork or mask-making while gaining a deeper understanding of what it means to be proudly South African. The Landscape of South Africa South Africa’s landscape is as diverse and captivating as its people. From stunning coastlines to breathtaking mountain ranges, this country has it all.  Along the coastline, you’ll find pristine beaches with golden sands and crystal-clear waters. Whether you’re a surfer looking for the perfect wave or simply seeking a relaxing spot to soak up some sun, South Africa’s coastal towns have something for everyone. Inland, the landscape transforms into vast plains dotted with vibrant wildflowers during springtime. The iconic Drakensberg Mountains provide a dramatic backdrop, offering hiking enthusiasts an opportunity to explore their rugged beauty. Venture further inland and you’ll discover the awe-inspiring Karoo desert – a place where time seems to stand still. Here, you can witness stunning sunsets over endless stretches of red sand dunes and experience true tranquility in nature’s embrace. Head north towards Mpumalanga province and be prepared to be amazed by the world-renowned Blyde River Canyon. This natural wonder offers panoramic views that will leave you speechless. And let’s not forget about South Africa’s famous wine regions! The picturesque vineyards of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are nestled against majestic mountains, creating a postcard-worthy setting for wine tasting adventures. No matter where your travels take you in South Africa, one thing is certain – its landscape will leave an indelible mark on your heart forever. So pack your bags and get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey through this land of unparalleled beauty! Wildlife of South Africa When it comes to wildlife, South Africa is a haven for animal lovers and nature enthusiasts. With its diverse ecosystems and protected areas, this beautiful country offers an incredible array of animal species to discover. In the iconic Kruger

SEA travelers have a lot of interest in visiting the Philippines, according to Airbnb.

According to the most recent Airbnb data, hosts and guests are becoming important economic force multipliers in many Philippine locations and localities. Despite a more than 70% decline in international visitor numbers as a result of the epidemic, Airbnb is reporting a significant uptick in both local and foreign guest visits throughout Southeast Asia, including the Philippines. Chinese tourists eager to travel to the Philippines Chinese travelers are showing a rising interest in visiting a wider range of locations ever since China’s cross-border travel was reopened. Chinese tourists searching for accommodations on Airbnb have increased by more than 10 times in the Philippines year over year. The region’s domestic tourist industry is still expanding. Domestic travel is still very common among local tourists even as international travel in Southeast Asia continues to improve. The number of nights booked on Airbnb in the Philippines more than doubled from 2020 to last year, although domestic travel remained the most popular option for residents in 2022. “Domestic tourism has proven to be resilient in times of crisis and an option of a more immediate and positive economic impact to local economies,” said Amanpreet Bajaj, General Manager of Airbnb for Southeast Asia, India, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. A weekend getaway to a location close to home is not only simpler to organize, but also far less expensive. By offering a wider range of reasonably priced lodging in new locations, Airbnb has demonstrated that it can encourage domestic tourism. Thanks to Airbnb, visitors can now visit a lot more locations. Expanding tourism to newer cities and villages Airbnb users stayed in more than 100,000 different cities and towns around the world in 2022. The top 10 Airbnb destinations with the most trips made up about 7% of all trips, down from 10% in 2019. By 2022, there were more than 25% more villages worldwide where visitors stayed than there were in 2012. This expansion of tourism to new and unique locations. More than 13,000 towns and localities around the world have already had their first Airbnb booking since March 2020. Over 900 new towns and localities in the Philippines receive their first Airbnb reservation during this time. Approximately 1 in 20 stays on Airbnb are booked using flexible search capabilities, which means that guests who book stays using these features are much less likely to stay in the most popular Airbnb destinations than guests who book stays using standard search. Globally, flexible travelers are about 23% less likely to stay in the top 20 Airbnb destinations. In contrast to excessive travel to prominent destinations, which focuses tourism economically and geographically, distributed travel is more cheap, supports local economies and jobs, and immerses individuals in these areas. Airbnb is assisting in spreading tourists, money, and tourism benefits around Southeast Asia to fresh, in-demand locations. We are investing in solutions to address the problems that mass tourism is creating around the world, helping visitors learn about new places and giving people new sources of income. The most recent Mastercard data insights indicate that consumer spending has held steady, with a sustained emphasis on experiences and travel. Globally, cross-border travel was strong during the second quarter of 2023, reaching 154% of 2019 levels, an increase of 6% over the first quarter. The inbound cross-border travel market in China is also expanding at the same time. President of JCB International China, Osamu Hino, stated: “We are happy to cooperate with Alipay to offer JCB Card holders worldwide convenient, safe, and secure mobile payment services in the Chinese mainland. Together with Alipay, we will continue to strengthen payment technology and services, investigate more opportunities in the payment space, and provide customers with more flexible and convenient payment options in the wave of digitization. “We greatly improve shopping convenience and accessibility for our cherished cardholders from around the world by partnering with Alipay, the leading digital payment and services platform in China,” said Chris Winter, managing director of international markets for Asia Pacific at Discover Global Network. With the help of this collaboration, tourists can easily discover China’s wonders while also getting a taste of the vibrant local culture. They may buy, eat, and go on thrilling expeditions. We are committed to making sure that every second of our cardholders’ time in China is packed with enjoyable activities, convenient payment options, and special memories. In order to support the Asian Games, we are thrilled to collaborate with card networks, other organizations, and retailers. The project demonstrates our dedication to creating a digital financial inclusion ecosystem that improves consumers’ worldwide payment experiences and promotes the expansion of domestic and international trade, according to Peng Yang, President of Ant Group’s International Business Group. We anticipate enhancing this collaborative environment through new innovations in cross-border payments, the empowerment of SME owners, and sustainability initiatives.Source- Travel dailyLink- https://www.traveldailymedia.com/international-card-networks-partner-with-alipay-for-asian-games/
