United Airlines has recently expanded its presence in Denver by opening two new clubs, one of which is the largest World Club in its network.

United has recently announced the commencement of operations for its largest United Club facility at Denver International Airport. The recently established club, spanning an area of 35,000 square feet, is situated within the B Concourse. The establishment provides a contemporary variation of the United Club encounter, with a novel feature bar that showcases beer flight boards. This allows patrons to partake in a rotating selection of local and craft beers, so enhancing their overall experience. The club being referred to is the second establishment among a collection of recently built venues in Denver during the summer season. In the previous month, a new United Club spanning an area of 24,000 square feet was inaugurated in the Concourse. This particular club showcases an opulent ambiance reminiscent of a ski lodge, incorporating sophisticated architectural elements that draw inspiration from the natural beauty of Colorado.

In 2025, the airline plans to establish a new and improved club facility. Denver International Airport will accommodate over 100,000 square feet of United Club space, which is approximately equivalent to the size of two football fields. This space will be distributed among three United Club locations and United Club Fly, a distinctive grab-and-go concept that provides United Club members with expedited access to enhanced food and beverage options for those with limited time between flights. It is anticipated that the new clubs will be able to accommodate a passenger volume that is more than twice the previous capacity, given that over two-thirds of United customers utilize connections to various destinations in Denver.

The establishment of these newly introduced clubs is a result of United’s introduction of a novel club idea, known as United Club FlySM, in Denver last year. This concept is the first of its type among U.S. airlines. Since its establishment, United Club Fly has accommodated more than 100,000 passengers who have availed themselves of the increased convenience of purchasing food or beverages en route to their aircraft.

According to Alexander Dorow, United’s Head of Clubs and lounges, the newly established United Club locations have been strategically developed and managed in response to customer feedback and to align with the evolving nature of their travel experiences in recent times. The company is currently engaged in the process of expanding its hub situated in the Mile High City. This expansion endeavor also includes the refurbishment of United Club facilities. These actions serve as a testament to the company’s dedication towards Colorado and the enhancement of its customers’ overall experiences.

Both club locations are equipped with enhanced amenities, including complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, self-scan entrance gates for convenient club access, agent on-demand kiosks to address any inquiries related to trip planning, and wellness rooms. Each club additionally offers culinary selections that showcase a distinct Colorado influence, like porridge infused with locally sourced Colorado honey, an egg frittata that draws inspiration from the iconic Denver omelette (with ham, bell peppers, red onion, spinach, and cheddar cheese), Colorado Club sandwiches, and pork green chili.

The aforementioned expansion is a component of the carrier’s expenditure of around $1 billion, aimed at enhancing the customer experience in Denver. In the preceding year, United Airlines made public its plans to introduce direct flights to six destinations, four of which are currently not offered by any other airline operating in Denver. Additionally, United Airlines has committed to enhancing local infrastructure by constructing 12 new gates in the A and B concourses, which are scheduled to be operational by mid-2024. This development will grant United Airlines a total of 90 gates, establishing its position as the airline with the highest number of gates at Denver International Airport.
